Caroline Ashton, the popular and gifted author of the 'Regency Belles' series, sadly died on 26th May, , only six days after her she lost her beloved husband Ed. Caroline was born in Durham City but lived in many different parts of the country before finally settling in Norfolk. Aged eleven, she began writing stories for the school magazine and has continued whenever work, marriage and raising three children have allowed. She started writing (almost) full time during a creative writing degree with the Open University. Caroline's favourite activity, other than writing, was walking with her husband and two cocker spaniels. 'Follow Me', a romance set in the Peninsular War, was her first novel. The contemporary 'Pulling Up The Weeds' was next, before she began the acclaimed Regency Belles series, currently: 'Rowena', 'Araminta', 'Harriette', 'Beatrice', 'Imogene' and 'Louise'. 'Rosalind
